i'm in stonybrook and using a laptop and i seem to be unable to dl torrents.

anyone know why this is? is it blocked or something? am i able to 'unblock' it?

also for emule, how can i make it have a high id...?

Most likely your school blocks it. Other than encrypting it or going through a proxy (unsure if possible for torrents) you can't get through that. And it might not be a good thing for you to be getting past the restrictions as it may go against school policy which might make you loose your internet or get kicked out.

heyy! i go to stony brook too, lol.

the school blocks everything.. limewire, kazaa, torrent.. you name it. i think clubbox works but i'm not 100% sure.
if you want to download something, u should try out the DC++ program. it's a stony brook network and you can upload/download from there.
